Letio Faka-
Willy Florian is Station Manager of Letio Faka-
He shares his testimony:
''Here in the Island people thought that receiving eternal life is through good works and going to church, abiding to the pastor and be active to every religious duty.
But the Radio has been helping us be set free from this big lie from the devil, that it is through having a close relationship with Jesus and having him into your heart, and it is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Many people are calling in everyday and make that step of faith with us over the phone and in person, crying and saying if they would have known this earlier, people coming to the Radio station to learn more about this relationship with Jesus.
Myself I'm a living testimony ... through the Radio I'm Saved, Equipped and Used, and if God can do it to me, he can do the same to the people throughout the Pacific Islands Amen!''
Tonga
update 17 Feb 2018
Cyclone Gita was the worst storm to hit Tonga in 60 years, damaging or destroying 40% of Tongatapu's houses, destroying crops, and destroying a church as well as Parliament House.
We have been privileged to partner with the Christian Radio station for more than 10 years. The station not only broadcasts a message of hope through Jesus across Tongatapu and beyond, but its staff also run highly effective discipleship programmes, and a prison ministry.
We praise God that the Christian radio station is still standing while so many other buildings have been destroyed, but still needs some urgent repair and power to be restored before it can go back on air.
Your donation, no matter how small, can help provide a strong tarpaulin, some essential repairs and on-
For the future, we join Willy Florian (Station Manager) in praying for a new, much-
"The Radio Station is still standing by the grace of God. The wind have blown the tarpaulin but not the house and their have been water everywhere. We are trying to fix the old tarpaulin and praying for a new one.
We are progressing, praise the Lord, but our number one need is a tarpaulin. Our recording and live studio is dry and hopefully we will be back on-
But it is the joy of the Lord that stills makes us smile in the midst and after the storm. Thank you for your prayers and thank you for your donation. I would like to thank everyone for your continuing prayer during the cyclone Gita.
Electricity here in the Kingdom is down and I haven not been able to charge my phone. Praise God someone offer to charge my phone through their church generator. It was the worse storm ever in my life. I thought that our house will be blown by the wind. But in the midst of all this my mind was, how is the Radio Station Building?
I have never cried so hard in my life for the Radio, like I did on that stormy night. The Radio was my platform to reach the people of Tonga with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.. The miracle hand of God took over as the Almighty send His Angels to encamp around the Station. Early morning I have to take the motorcycle and try to reach the radio, trees were everywhere, houses were torn apart as people were gathering their belongings. This are houses stronger than the Station. When I got to the Station, I can't hold my tears as I see the old building still standing. I just shouted. God you are faithful.
Friends your prayers have been answered. Not only the Radio is still standing but God also protect my family and our little house. This is my second day of cleaning at the station and hoping that we will be on air very soon. The building is in a mess but but still standing. I will update more soon as I can see my phone is about to shut down. The electricity is down and so is the water. Thank you again"
